EFFECTIVE HOME REMEDIES FOR CRACKED FEET
Cracked feet are a common problem not only among the middle aged, but it is also to be found among those in their early twenties. It occurs due to the excessive drying of skin near the heels. When the skin loses all its moisture content, it gets stretched which ultimately results in the formation of cracks on the upper layers. Dust particles tend to get deposited here, which in turn causes infection. Cracked feet are indeed very painful & they need to be paid heed at the earliest.
The easiest way perhaps to treat this problem at home is to take a bucket a bucket of lukewarm water and a teaspoon each of table salt, oil and shampoo to it. Soak the feet in this for about 20 minutes. Then clean the heels using pumice stone. Rub the feet using a soft, clean towel and apply any foot care cream or petroleum jelly to the affected area. Then put on a pair of cotton socks. This should be daily at night before going to bed for best results. Another thing that should be kept in mind is to avoid wearing shoes with hard soles. It is also advisable to wear slippers at home in order to prevent the feet from coming in contact with dust.
In cases of aggravated problem it is advisable to visit a salon at least once in a fortnight and get a pedicure done from an expert beautician.
