NATURAL CARE FOR OILY SKIN

Oily skin is actually a boon in disguise. Negligence can make one look as ugly as ever. It can cause severe breakouts of acne & rashes. Therefore it is essential to look after it in order to reap the benefits of it(it helps keep wrinkles at bay). A daily routine of cleansing, toning, moisturizing & the application of a face pack once a week is enough to maintain a blemish free, glowing skin. Oily skin has large, visible pores in which dirt tends to get accumulated. Thus, it is necessary to exfoliate it at least twice a week. Keeping the skin squeaky clean all the time by not letting oil accumulate on the upper layer is the key to maintaining oily skin. A puree of lemon juice, cucumber juice and yoghurt helps cleanse the excess oil & also retain moisture of the skin. Rice powder is a good exfoliating agent. It is important to wash the face with cold water as many times as possible as it tightens the pores. A face mask comprising of fuller’s earth, rose water and a few drops of eau de cologne works wonders for oily skin. Tomato puree is also very good for oily skin. It should be kept in mind that people with oily skin must only use oil free cosmetics. A high protein diet comprising of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish & drinking lots of water is a must. Junk, oily foods are to be avoided as much as possible.
