TREATING DRY SKIN

People having dry skin are to follow the 3 step skincare routine daily which consists of cleansing, toning and moisturing. A mixture of besan and pure water works as an excellent cleanser. Ice cold milk can be used as toner. Honey/glycerine mixed with rose water are the best natural moisturisers available and they more effective than the most reputed brands.

A pack comprising of ripe smashed banana,olive oil and a vitamin e tablet (preferably EVION 400) should be applied atleast once a week. Another pack comprising of wheat flour,a pinch of turmeric powder,olive oil and milk(if desired) can also be used.

Dry skin should be scrubbed atleast once a week. An homemade scrub can be prepared by mixing bread in warm milk and let it cool. When the temperature comes down to the room temperature, it is to be applied on to the face and rubbed using brisk circular movements for about 2 minutes. This is to washed off using plain water. Another thing that can be done is to grate an apple and refrigerate it. This is to be applied and left on for ten minutes before washing it off with tap water.

Dry needs to be handled very carefully. Negligence and application of wrong products can not only cause wrinkles at an early age but can also result in pigmentation. Moisturisers containing alcohol are to be strictly avoided. This apart, it is also necessary to keep the skin hydrated always. Pure almond oil is an excellent moisturizing agent. It nourishes the skin making it smooth and blemish free.This oil prevents dryness by providing moisture and essential nutrients.
